Oro Valley has a great range of amazing schools within the area. Some of those include Basis Oro Valley, Leman Academy of Excellence, and Canyon Del Oro High School. You have the options of great public schools along with A+ private schools.

If you're looking for newer construction homes, Oro Valley is a great place to look. There's a wide range of options of new or newer construction homes within the area that range in all price points. Another plus of purchasing a home in Oro Valley is the amazing views you will have from the Push Ridge Mountains.

Con #1: Drive Time to Central Tucson

Depending on where you're located in Oro Valley, the drive to get to central Tucson can take around 30 to 40 minutes, but a huge plus about Oro Valley is that you have all your accommodations minutes away from you. There are great restaurants and shopping available all throughout.

Con #2: Nightlife Scene

If you're looking to live near a lot of nightlife, Oro Valley might not be the best place for you. A plus is you can jump in an Uber and be closer to downtown Tucson within 30 minutes, or go to one of the close bars in Oro Valley.

Con #3: Hot Summer Months

Oro Valley summers, and along with the greater Tucson area, can get well into the 110 degree weather during the hottest summer months. Luckily that's only a month or so out of the year. The rest of the time, it's beautiful sunshine weather and nice chilly winters. Those hot months can never outweigh the beautiful months we have throughout the rest of the year.
