Hey everyone, it's Rachel Clark. Today, I'm going to go over a few of the annual events Tucson Arizona has to offer. From the Gem and Mineral Show all the way to the Nova Home Loans Bowl game. Read on to know some of the awesome events.
Tucson Gem and Mineral Show
The first event is the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. Dated all the way back to 1955, this is one of the oldest, most prestigious gem shows in the world. With over 250 vendors, this isn't something you want to miss out on. You can be sure to catch it from end of January to middle of February.Â
Tucson Rodeo and Parade/La Fiesta de los Vaqueros
This is one of the top 25 pro rodeos in the United States. There's so much fun for your family, you don't want to miss out. You can catch the Tucson Rodeo at the end of February.Â

PGA Cologuard Classic
This long-time PGA tour hosted at the beautiful Omni Tucson National, you'll be able to catch all of the legends in men's pro golf. This has always held at the end of February.Â
Tucson Festival of Books
This is hosted at the University of Arizona. It's a literary lovers perfect weekend. You'll be able to be a part of book panels, special events, and even maybe get the chance to meet your favorite author. You can be sure to catch this event sometime in March.
Fourth Avenue Street Fair
Started back in 1971, this beloved arts and crafts show takes over historic downtown district. With over 350 artists that take place in this event, it's definitely something you don't want to miss. Luckily, it's hosted two times a year - once in December and once in March.Â
Tucson Meet Yourself
This downtown block party has been hosted since 1974, with local food and artists that are rich in Southern Arizona culture. You don't want to miss this three-day block party that takes place in mid-October.
El Tour de Tucson
This is one of the premier fundraising rides in the United States and one of the longest running events of its kind in Arizona. It's a bucket list for professionals and for bike enthusiasts of all kinds. You can choose from a 100 mile race, a 57 mile race, or 28, whatever fits your liking. This event has been held since 1983, always the Saturday before Thanksgiving.Â
All Souls Procession
This is taken after the Mexican holiday Dia de Los Muertos or Day of the Dead. This is to help remember loved ones, family members, friends who have passed. Bringing over 150,000 people to the streets of downtown Tucson, this event is so special because so many people put so much thought, care, and love into their costume, art pieces, and makeup for that All Souls Procession. It's always held the first weekend of November.
Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl
This is held at the University of Arizona football stadium. It's an NCAA certified matchup between two bowl eligible schools. This is a two-day event starting with the night before a pep rally. The following morning be sure to catch the tailgate on the Arizona mall. After touchdown, the Bowl Bash will be in downtown Tucson. You can always be sure to catch this game in December.Â
